Lady Gaga isn’t a fan of being likened to Madonna, but on Saturday night, she definitely seemed to be channeling the pop icon’s wardrobe. The 30-year-old singer was snapped leaving the TV studios after her SNL performance, sporting her usual eccentric fashion sense. She rocked a white cowboy hat paired with a purple fluffy jacket adorned with colorful suede patches. Check out the video below for a glimpse of her outfit.
The ultimate form of flattery: Lady Gaga doesn’t appreciate being likened to Madonna, but on Saturday night, she seemed to have taken some fashion inspiration from her.
Rocking a trendy look, she paired a white cowboy hat with a purple fluffy jacket adorned with multi-coloured suede patches. Her outfit was completed with a revealing pair of lilac satin hotpants that accentuated her figure as she moved. With her blonde hair styled sleekly flowing, she added a touch of glamour with tinted sunglasses. The ensemble was topped off with sky-high purple platform boots that tied the whole look together flawlessly.
Gaga had plenty of hats to rock, giving off major Madonna vibes with her look.
Purple reign: People often claim that the singer is emulating Madonna’s style. The chunky heels she wore had a sparkly, vibrant finish and seemed challenging to move in. At a prior event, she was seen with Tom Hanks (60) and SNL stars Leslie Jones (49) and Cecily Strong (32). Tom kicked off by introducing himself and Gaga as the host and musical guest for the evening.
Cheers! She paired it with some tiny lilac satin shorts.
Let’s discuss catching attention: With her blonde hair flowing freely and styled elegantly, she effortlessly put on a pair of stylish sunglasses, turning heads wherever she went.
Relax: The bold heels had a sparkly, rainbow finish and seemed challenging to walk in. Cecily chimed in, asking, “Who’s the movie star, and who’s the glamorous rocker?” Both Tom and Gaga comically responded, “I’m the glamorous rocker,” at the same time, even though Gaga was wearing a dramatic outfit with ruffled sleeves and a black lace bodice covering her chest. “Oh, you mean in our careers, not personally,” Tom clarified before jokingly saying, “I’m the movie star.”
All geared up! Tom Hanks collaborated on a variety of different promos alongside Lady Gaga, as well as SNL actresses Leslie Jones and Cecily Strong.
Tom begins by introducing himself as the host of the show, and Gaga as the musical guest for the evening.
Isn’t it funny? Both Tom and Gaga confidently claim the title of glam rocker at the same time, even though Gaga is wearing a bold outfit with ruffled sleeves and a lace bodice covering her chest. In the next teaser, Tom is once again joined by the two women, but this time Cecily interrupts him to point out that Gaga now prefers to be called Joanne. However, Gaga insists that she’s fine with her current name. Cecily then surprises everyone by announcing that she now goes by the alias Tor. Not wanting to be left out, Tom jumps in and declares, “And I’m Cubby!” before urging viewers to watch SNL for performances by Joanne, Tor, and Cubby.
Let’s give it another shot: In the next quick teaser, Tom is once again standing between the two ladies. This time, Cecily playfully interrupts Tom’s introduction by pointing out that ‘Gaga is going by the name Joanne now.’
Not an issue: Lady Gaga steps in to support him, reassuring everyone by saying ‘Gaga’s all good,’ but Cecily takes a different path, announcing ‘Actually, I want to be called Tor now, it’s my new alias.’ In the last scene, Tom and Leslie relax on a green rooftop terrace, lounging in comfortable chairs. Their conversation begins with a curious inquiry from the Ghostbusters actress. “Tom, what’s it like in space?” she asks eagerly, to which Tom replies, “Leslie, I have no idea, I was just pretending.”
Tom also decides to join in, enthusiastically declaring, “And I’m cubby!” as he invites fans to watch SNL for Joanne, Tor, and Cubby. Leslie then inquires about what outer space is like, to which Tom simply responds with “Cold,” leading Leslie to exclaim, “I knew it!” The following scene takes a comedic turn as Leslie sets the stage, saying, “Tom, you have been blasted into space, shipwrecked on a desert island, and sat on a bench.”
Are you savoring the fall season? In the last scene, Tom and Leslie relax together on a rooftop terrace surrounded by colorful leaves, each comfortably settled in a cozy lounge chair.
Quick question: “Hey Tom, can you describe outer space?” she asks, causing Tom to reply, “Sorry Leslie, I’m just pretending.” “I see,” she nods, leading to her next question, “But have you ever experienced true love?” Tom casually responds, “Well, I’ve been happily married for 28 years.” “That wasn’t the question, Tom Hanks,” Leslie teases, applying lipstick playfully. Their playful banter continues as Tom and Leslie relax with what looks like mimosas in hand.
“Single and ready to mingle?” Tom joked, to which Leslie responded playfully, “That wasn’t the question, Tom Hanks.” As they sipped their drinks on the rooftop, Tom marveled, “I had no idea this rooftop garden even existed.” Leslie, with a smirk, said, “Stick with me, Tom, I know all the secret spots.” Suddenly, their casual conversation was interrupted by the approach of security guards. Concerned, Tom asked, “Are we allowed to be up here?” Leslie replied with a simple “Nope,” leading Tom to suggest a quick retreat. With drinks in hand, they both started running as Tom began giving instructions for the show.
Tom expressed surprise at discovering the existence of a rooftop garden, unaware of its presence. Leslie proudly boasted of her knowledge and connections, promising Tom that he would benefit from sticking with her.
“Oops, should we hurry?” Tom inquires, prompting them to quickly run while carrying their drinks as he shares details about the show.
